Shri. D.K.Srinivasan started Hindu Mission Hospital in 1982 with a view to providing high quality medical care to the poor and needy sections of society. His mission has been to provide medical care to the needy – irrespective of caste, creed or religion. His missionary zeal has propelled the hospital to its current state and his vision continues to drive the institution to greater heights. His efforts have alleviated the suffering of countless people over the last 37 years.
Shri. D.K.Srinivasan, is a Padma Shri awardee – conferred by the Government of India in 2016 for his yeoman service to the underprivileged sections of our society.
He has been involved in social service for over 40 years after giving up his successful business interests. He started Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram as its Honorary founder Secretary. He is a visionary, providing not only healthcare to the poor and needy but also education for first generation students and several other projects for the welfare of the community.
Shri D.K.Srinivasan continues to lead the hospital in both day to day activities and planning projects for the future and guiding the hospital to new heights. He embodies the hospital’s motto “Paropakarartham Idham Shareeram” “This body is to serve others” and his involvement in the following institutions stands testimony to that:
Dr. D K Sriram has been associated with the Hindu Mission Hospital from its very inception. Having lived and worked overseas in United States of America and the United Kingdom for 17 years he has taken over as the Medical Director of Hindu Mission Hospital. Since Dr. D K Sriram joined the hospital in 2012, he has set up The Heart Institute, Brain and Spine Institute, Neuro Clinic, Diabetes Institute and many more specialty departments with a view to upgrade and modernize the hospital to its current demands. He is a firm believer that education is the path to betterment of individuals and institutions. With this in mind, he has introduced numerous courses, thus making the hospital into a vibrant educational institution.
He has started the fellowship in critical care & fellowship in clinical diabetes programs as well as Allied Health Courses. In addition, he manages the Hindu Mission School of Nursing and Hindu Mission College of Nursing.
