research. To pursue a culture of medical excellence and research, we have started the Masters of Emergency Medicine (MEM/CCT-EM) is a 3-year postgraduate program accredited by the Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI).

This course is designed to trail physicians in the comprehensive management of emergency medical situations, encompassing trauma, critical care, and acute medical conditions.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

·         Duration:  3 years, full time.

·         Accreditation: Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI).

·         Selection Process:  Personal Interview

·         Eligibility: 

o   MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

o   Completion of a compulsory internship.

o   Some institutions may require NEET-PG qualification.

o   Foreign medical graduates must have cleared the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).

 

TRAINING & CURRICULUM

The MEM program offers a robust curriculum that includes:

The Department of Emergency Medicine is equipped with a 15-bedded, protocol-based Emergency Room, including a triage zone and a dedicated Emergency Operating Theatre (OT).  This setup offers students a dynamic and structured clinical learning environment aimed at developing excellence in emergency medical care.

 

CLINICAL & PROCEDURAL TRAINING

  • High-Quality, Hands-on Training in preforming all essential emergency procedures directly in the Emergency Room (ER)
  • Expertise Development in Point-of-Care (POC) Ultrasound and usage of other critical emergency equipment
  • Weekly hands-on workshops conducted by experienced faculty in an on-site skill laboratory

 

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

  • Structured Academic Program featuring regular classes, interactive seminars, and thesis/project work.
  • Opportunities for conference participation to enhance academic exposure and networking.
  • Weekly Journal Clubs to foster critical thinking and evidence-based practice.

COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL ROTATIONS

  • Rotatory Postings in:
  • Emergency Room
  • Medical ICU
  • Surgical ICU
  • Cardiothoracic ICU (CT ICU)
  • Operation Theatre (OT)

These postings are designed to provide hands-on experience in emergency care, critical care, and basic anesthesia.

  • Exposure to In-hospital Emergency Code Systems (e.g., Code Blue, Code Red).
