Hindu Mission Hospital established an exclusive department of Clinical Research in January 2016. We have a trained team of research coordinators who are engaged in execution of the various clinical Research projects aimed at driving healthcare in a positive direction. Hindu Mission Hospital provides Clinical Research services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology product development from Phase I to Phase IV. Clinical trials must be scientifically conducted using appropriate methods on the basis of strict observance of Good Clinical Practice and ethical considerations. The services of the department cover the entire study cycle from feasibility studies, protocol preparation, submission of documents to Institutional ethics committee, informed consent, data collection, statistical analysis and writing scientific manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals and archival are managed by the staff of Clinical Research department.
Currently, a number of prospective cohort studies are being carried out in the department of Cardiology, Dermatology, Diabetology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Psychiatry, Oncology, Ophthalmology & Nephrology. Clinicians, IEC members and staff of the clinical Research team are formally trained in GCP (Good Clinical practices).
We have a registered institutional ethics committee that meets regularly to review the Clinical Research projects. The ethics committee has been constituted according to the Rule 122 DD of scheduled Y guidelines. In line with Hindu Mission Hospital’s high ethical standards, the department also ensures that clinical trials are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements that ensures and protects the safety, wellbeing and rights of the subjects. Clinical Research department also provides internship for interns.
