About
Clinical Research Department

Medical research studies and clinical trials play an important role in understanding various diseases and new treatment options with the overall goal of improving healthcare for patients.

Clinical research is conducted indifferent groups of people to assess the efficacy of a medical or surgical therapy. Clinical research in a hospital setting helps the medical institution fulfil its mission and goals in the community and allows clinicians to further their knowledge of the latest treatments and procedures offered to patients. Research could involve a device/drug trial or an observational study of patients with specific ailments.

Hindu Mission Hospital established an exclusive department of clinical research in January 2016 with an aim to contribute towards the advancement of medicine and scientific knowledge that would benefit patients.

We have a team of highly-qualified research coordinators, who are engaged in the execution of various clinical research projects at the hospital. HMH collaborates with noted pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations for product development from Phase I to Phase IV of clinical trials.

We ensure that trials are scientifically conducted using appropriate methods on the basis of strict observance of ‘good clinical practice’ and ethical considerations.

The services of the department cover the entire study cycle from feasibility studies, protocol preparation, submission of documents to institutional ethics committee, taking informed consent, data collection, statistical analysis and writing scientific manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals.

The Clinical Research department maintains an archive of all the published scientific data.
